A Look Back At 2016
This was a memorable year for SureID®, our customers, our employees and our community. As 2016 comes to a close, we wanted to look back at some of the year’s milestones we’ve reached as a business, as an active member of our local community, and throughout the communities we serve around the country.
As a company we’ve achieved a lot of success this year, especially when it comes to expanding our RAPIDGate® program around the country which was deployed at nine new installations:
- Guam Army National Guard Readiness Center
- Marine Corp Recruit Depot at Parris Island
- Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms
- Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort
- Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point
- Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach
- US Coast Guard Base Kodiak
- US Coast Guard Yard
The program hit some important milestones including verifying more than 3,400 new companies with more than 78,000 employees. Much of this expansion is due to the RAPIDGate program nearing implementation at all 24 U.S. Marine Corps installations across the continental United States and Hawaii.
Our program helps secure our military bases and streamlines the access process for verified vendors, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, service providers and others who may require access to a base.
In 2016 we also celebrated the two-year anniversary of the launch of our Personal Identity Verification – Interoperable (PIV-I) credential through the RAPIDGate program. After two years offering this solution, nearly 200,000 credentials have been issued. That’s an average of 275 PIV-I credentials per day, making us the world’s number one PIV-I issuer.
The numbers speak for themselves; 2016 was a strong year for SureID and for RAPIDGate.
Reaching important milestones and meeting business goals aren’t the only reasons why 2016 was a banner year for SureID. We were also proud to take part in 14 worthy community activities, charitable events and sponsorship opportunities totaling more than $70,000.
Participation took many forms: a kickball game to support Home Runs for Homeless Youth; a fundraiser for HomePlate Youth Services; our employees volunteering at Portland Veterans Stand Down to support homeless veterans; and being recognized by the Northwest Military Employer Summit for hiring veterans or supporting employees who are called to serve.
As a company we recognize how important it is for us to give back, especially to some of our most vulnerable and deserving at-risk populations. Our hope is that next year we’ll be able to do even more, and that you will join us in supporting whatever worthy causes are close to your heart.
2016 would not have been such a great year without the support of our employees, our customers, and our family and friends. Thanks to everyone. We wish you all a safe holiday season and a happy new year.
