RAPIDGate Team Golfs for the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

Golfing for a Good Cause

There are a lot of good reasons to play golf – you get to be outside, you get some exercise and, if you’re like some of us, you get to spend untold hours in nature hunting for stray shots that will never be seen again.

But for the team here at RAPIDGate®, we have an even more important reason to hit the links this year – supporting the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

For the second year in a row, RAPIDGate will be participating in the “Patriots at Pebble, Marines Hit The Beach” OPEN presented by Dr. Hans-Peter Wild. This year’s event, benefiting the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, includes The Corpsmen Classic on Sunday, February 26 at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Toyota Commandants Cup at Pebble Beach Golf Links® on Monday, February 27.

About the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation

All of us at RAPIDGate believe it’s important to contribute to initiatives that give back to military families. That’s why we’re proud to support the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation – the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based scholarships to military children. Founded in 1962, the Foundation has been providing access to affordable education for the children of Marine and Navy Corpsmen attending post-high school, under-graduate and career technical education programs for 54 years. In that time, the foundation has provided more than 37,000 scholarships worth over $110 million to children of Marine and Navy Corpsmen.

At the core of this great program is the simple belief that Marine and Navy Corpsmen make legendary sacrifices for our nation, but sacrificing their children’s education shouldn’t be one of them. According to the foundation’s website: “While there are many ways to honor our nation’s heroes, there is no organization closer to the intersection of real need and lasting impact than the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.”
